Why Choose  an NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer?
There are over 200 personal trainer certifications in the country, many not so reputable.  The top two are the NSCA
and the ACSM.  Many personal trainers are not even certified and may not be properly trained in issues such as
injury prevention, special populations (ie. people with various health issues or special needs), or safety issues.

What sets the  NSCA-CPT certification apart from all the rest?

Scope of Practice

+The exams focus on the "real-world" responsibilities of personal trainers and strength and conditioning professionals.

+Validation of the exams signifies that individuals are tested over the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to be competent in their respective
 professional career areas.

Exam Development

+Passing a challenging exam demonstrates your level of commitment to the industry and your career, helps to substantiate your competency level to others and proves that you are indeed qualified to perform the tasks expected of you.

+By passing a difficult-to-obtain exam, you gain instant credibility and an edge in the industry over personal trainers and strength and conditioning professionals who have earned a less challenging and less respected certification.

National Accreditation

+The NSCA Certification Commission is the only fitness-related organization to have credentials nationally accredited by the NCCA since 1993.

The National Strength and Conditioning Association is a nonprofit, educational organization established in 1978 that provides resources and opportunities for professionals in strength and conditioning and related fields. It is recognized as the worldwide authority on strength and conditioning for improved physical performance.  With more than 30,000 members located in 52 countries, the NSCA draws upon its vast network of coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, educators, researchers and physicians to develop and present the most up-to-date information on strength training and conditioning and personal training practices, injury prevention and research findings.

UCLA FITNESS INSTRUCTION PROGRAM

The UCLA Certificate Program in Fitness Instruction is an eight-course, university level program.
It is recognized in the fitness industry as the standard for continuing education programs for fitness instructors,
personal trainers, sports & strength coaches, registered dieticians, nutritionists, and other fitness and health professionals.
