BACKGROUND:

I have been an NSCA (National Strength &
Conditioning Association) Certified Personal Trainer since 2006.
I have also completed the UCLA Certificate
Program in Fitness Instruction.
(For more info on these certifications see my
Credentials page on this site).
MY TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

I believe in a balanced
training program: one that includes weight training,
cardiovascular training, flexibility training, and proper
nutrition. Training should be SAFE and FUN.
My client’s goals are always the priority.
Fitness training should be
simple and include exercises that are functional and sport specific.
I believe in back-to-basics.
I use muscle testing and ROM
(range of motion) testing to find out more information about a client’s body
before designing an exercise program for them.
TYPES OF TRAINING

WILDERNESS
ADVENTURE HIKING
(see credentials page for outdoor
credentials)
I lead hikes in the Angeles National
Forest (San Gabriel Mountains) and Los Padres National Forest. The
hikes are all in canyons along a river. They are of
intermediate difficulty level and involve rock scrambling and lots of
stream crossings. Usually an all-day event, lasting five to twelve
hours. Not for beginners or anyone without a sense of
adventure!
Great for
endurance, strength, balance, fat-burning, and plyometric training! Learn
about nature and
things like “the ten essentials” and “Leave no Trace”. Excellent for cross
training or taking your
training to a new level!!!
(Until further
notice, these hikes are FREE!!!!!!!)
